Irresistible Tiny Little Cute Things

Posted: April 9th, 2008

I’ll go on and admit that these little finds are just as much for me as for the small people in my life.

I saw these super coolio Animal Rubbber Bands at a recent trade show, and now they’re available to purchase online. Yay!

These rubber bands, designed by Yumiko Ohashi & Masanori Haneda from Japan, are made of silicone, and are stretchy and can be used just like regualr rubber bands, but they’re stronger, come in great colours, and most importantly are *animal shapes*!!

What a delight!

Portable friends suitable for a whole range of play scenarios, and perfect for party favours or other treat situations.

They come in Pet and Zoo varieties, and are available in both 6-piece packs ($5.95) and 24 piece Gift Boxes ($12.98) from SheWants -www.shewants.com.au.

I also like these Mon-Keys, $9.50 for the set of 6.

You see your keys a lot, so how’s about giving yourself an opportunity to smile when you do? Nothing like cuteing-up a really mundane part of your life. I know I’m gonna :)

Postage is $6.95 Australia wide. International shipping is welcome.

You can get the animal rubber bands from Kikki K stores. I got them a couple of years ago from one of their Sydney shops.

Thanks for the tip Elizabeth :)

The ones that kikki.K sell are actually their own brand, not the Animal Bands by Passkey Design, but they’re pretty much the same, so everyone who has a store near them, save on postage and pop into kikki.K to pick some up.

(kikki.K are currently out of stock of their product on their website).

SheWants is the cheapest item + postage deal I’ve found so far for the Animal bands; let me know if you see them for less.

Oh sorry, I just checked their website and saw they do their own brand now. They must have gone into production because the ones I bought from them are the Passkey Design ones (which I think come in cuter packaging!)

    Hi Elizabeth.

Yeah, I thought it was strange that they said “new hot product coming soon”. They must have decided they were a good enough seller to release their own; a good sign!

Good to know about the virtues of the Passkey Design packaging…to my mind the packaging is almost as important as the product itself, particularly if it’s designed to be reusable, like this is (yay!)

    Anyhow, I’m rambling ;)

If you (or anyone reading) wants to pick up some Passkey Animal Bands soon, hold fire; might have a deal coming :)
