Here’s an idea: if you’re nifty with a needle and thread, unlike myself, and get hives from the cluttered mess of Spotlight, like myself, check out online fabric stores such as Duckcloth, Quilt Fabric Delights and Reprodepot and get sewing to create a unique and special keepsake. The ranges are huuuuuge and you’ll be able to find everything from cutesy to cool, vintage to designer.
Or, put aside a few days and hit Etsy for other people’s handmade treasures from around the globe – check out the gorgeous designs at Pollywoggers (from about $50) or shop around for one of the thousands of talented artisans who’ll custom make one for you.
