How to use KidStyleFile

KidStyleFile is updated daily. You can visit the site every day to check the updates, or subscribe to a feed through RSS, receive our weekly newsletter, or use all three options.

There are a number of ways you can navigate the site once you’re in. You can:

1. Read posts daily, letting us take you on a tour of the latest delights
2. Use the ‘Search’ box to enter your keywords to see what we’ve published on your area of interest
3. Scan the ‘Recent Posts’ section to read the headlines of the last 7 posts
4. View more posts for the month, or previous month’s posts in the ‘archive’ section
5. Browse the ‘Categories’ section to locate specific brands, stores or topics
6. Read the site start to finish, page by page. There is ‘Previous posts’ navigation at the bottom of each page
7. Take in the latest ‘Twitter’ updates for quick grabs of information on what’s going on, or coming up.

Angela - KidStyleFile Founder/Publisher/Editor/Writer

Hello, I’m Angela, and KidStyleFile is my third baby.

Formerly an IT management professional, for the last 4 years I have been a SAHM to my identical twin girls.

I created KidStyleFile to solve a problem I had: I wished there was a website that brought all the best independent online baby and kids stores together, so I could quickly find beautiful products, become informed about what’s out there, and access regular discounts and offers.

There wasn’t such a site, and so I made KidStyleFile.

I shop widely from all the best online boutiques and independent designers in Australia, and have developed rich and satisfying relationships with the stores I purchase from. It makes shopping so much more fun and meaningful, and brings a sense of community back into life.

KidStyleFile allows you to share in that too. It’s very gratifying to be able to sing the praises of the wonderful stores and designers in our midst, and to share their wonderful talents with you.

Of course I can’t buy *everything*, so KidStyleFile helps me get all the bargains out there, off my chest, so I can live vicariously, happy knowing that someone has snapped them up and loves them.

Hi, I’m Mikaela and I’m really excited to be a part of the KSF team!

Me in a nutshell: I’m a SAHM/WAHM to a 15 month old boy, I live all over the place (currently New Zealand) and BC (before children) I worked as a PA in the architecture industry.

Writing for KidStyleFile allows me to indulge in my passions of shopping for beautiful bargains and writing. I love getting news of great bargains out there, it gives me a little thrill every time!

I believe that it is good for the soul to surround oneself with beautiful things in every day life. Why should kids’ gear be exempt from that principle?

There is so much out there which has been thoughtfully designed, and it gives me pleasure to be able to present it to a wider audience.

Hello, my name is Kat and I’m a shopaholic!

I’m also proud Mum to a beautiful 2 year old who knows how to match her hair clips to her frocks, refuses to go through the day without a Babycino, and has a current obsession with gingerbread men prints. She thinks it’s normal for the postman to come every day with parcels for her, such is my passion for sourcing beautiful and unique items from around the globe – and if I can get them for a bargain, even better!

Pre-kid, and Post-University (Journalism and Media) I was living in the UK, working in fashion. Since my daughter was born, I’ve been running my own business, boutique women’s and kids online fashion store Frock You, and trying to spend as much time as possible experiencing the daily wonders of parenting.

Hi, I’m Nerida, KidStyleFile’s official product reviewer.

A bit of background about me - I am a working mum to a very chatty three year old girl and a 6 month old boy who seems to manage on minimal sleep. I spend way too much dressing my children and take great delight in tracking down the latest and greatest in kids clothing, toys, furniture, books and music.

In my day job as an Economist, it is not often I get to write on children’s products. I am so excited to be part of the KidStyleFile team – now I can combine my love of shopping with my addiction to buying children’s clothing - all in the name of research!
