This year for Christmas I am trying very hard to buy lots of handmade goods for gifts. There are a couple of reasons for this, firstly to support small businesses and independant artists and designers, and secondly to feel safe in the knowledge that whoever is receiving the gift probably hasn’t already got one or is likely to get two of the same thing.
Buying handmade these days is also very easy and with sites like Madeit – and Etsy, with high quality wares presenting a new professional image for handmade goods.
