For me, the ideal Christmas present for a child must fulfill three key criteria: it should be educational, it should encourage the child’s environmental and social conscience, and above all, it must be fun. It can be really quite difficult to find gifts which qualify under all three criteria, as I’m sure you can imagine!

I particularly like the Botanicals sets, which are miniature greenhouses complete with everything you need to grow a little garden all year round.
