These days I pretty much refuse to buy any toy for my kids unless it’s wooden. After all, wooden toys last forever, they’re so much more beautiful to look at, and reputable brands use sustainable timber making them a much more environmentally friendly option. Plus with the amazing range of wooden toys available nowdays there’s no reason for me to buy anything else!

It’s a big selection of food items covering all the food groups, and excellent for roleplaying. My Wooden Toys also stock these wooden eggs, which are the most simple and brilliant toy I have ever bought for my kids. It’s hard to believe such a simple toy would keep them entertained for so long! The toddler loves to sort, count, ‘cook’ and serve the eggs, while the 6 month old is content to gum on them and chase them around on the floor.
