Bzzzzzzz….Bzzzzzyyyy…..Bzzzzzyyy……Bzzzzzzzzzz!!!

Do you know what that is? That’s the sound at my excitement at the news of the latest limited release Trunki just about to join the pack! This new striped and honey sweet addition to the Trunki stable is called Bernard the Bee and he is sure to have you swarming to grab him.

Perfect for your little travel bug, Bernard is the ultimate accessory for your trip away or sleep overs. He’s great on planes as he’s cabin-baggage approved for all major airlines, and your kidlet can even ride him, seated on his back gripping his horns for stability, while you wait for your flight to board. (Talk about a ‘board-om’ buster, haw haw!).

The limited edition Trunki Bernard the Bee model is expected to land in Australia in April 2010. He retails at $85.00 and is available for pre-order now from Metro Mum www.metromum.com.au.

Metro Mum currently stock the following Trunki models, from left to right: Trixie, Harley, Tipu and Terrance, with Bernard (top) joining his friends in April 2010.

Metro Mum use Fastaway Couriers and Australia Post for delivery.  Total delivery cost will be calculated at checkout.  For estimated delivery times, international orders and all the ‘how to’ information see here.

When it comes to ethical fashion with flair, I think it would be pretty darn difficult to beat Cornflowerblue – www.cornflowerblue.com.au. Sarah and her team are constantly searching worldwide for the hippest, funkiest, prettiest, most on-trend and downright gorgeous clothing for kids – but with a caveat: everything they stock has to be ethically produced and planet-friendly, whether that means organic, recycled or made under environmentally sound conditions. Cornflowerblue put their money where their mouth is too – $1 from every product sold goes to their charity work, which you can learn about through Cornflowerblue TV!The A/W’10 collections have been arriving in-store over the last couple of weeks, and there are some stunning new brands on offer. Click the links here to see new season Babies, Girls and Boys.

Make sure you have a look at Monte and Tex and Go Gently Baby (Cornflowerblue are the exclusive stockist for Australia).  I luurve their Sgt Pepper Jacket – see below, #8.  Besides these, some old favourites return too: Green Eyed Monster, La Queue de Chat, Serendipity and Eternal Creation all have new season collections in-store now too.

There is also the Cornflowerblue house label, cornflowerblue ORGANIC which offers truly beautiful girls’ sleepwear.  It’s styled along classic lines, and features a delicate, pretty colour palette with Cornflowerblue’s own distinctive Sha Sha print.  I can’t think of anything nicer than snuggling down in bed in a pretty pair of organic cotton PJs or nightie – what a shame they don’t come in adult sizes!  Little girls are definitely in luck though, so snap up a pair for your daughter today.

KidStyleFile readers can scoop a 10% discount on all new full-priced Winter arrivals at Cornflowerblue until 30 March 2010. Enter ‘KSF_W10‘ at checkout.  You’ll also be rewarded with the knowledge that your purchase will be helping people too – can’t get better than that!

One word that kids usually learn to read before all others is their very own name. Placing that very special word on books, on ones school bag and lunchbox denotes ownership, and our clever little ones are quick to understand. “That’s mine!” huffs Master R when someone touches his drink bottle, “See! It has MY name on it”.

Mooo’s – www.mooo.com.au – personalised wall canvases are bound to delight young and old alike.  Your little one will be super impressed to see their name on display, and you’ll love the sparky (and HUGE!) selection you have to choose from. Canvases are available in two sizes (30 x 30 cm OR 60 x 60 cm), and designed and printed in the Mooo studio directly onto the canvas with light fast ink that ensures they’ll be brightening up your day for years to come.

The Dads in charge at Mooo are offering KSF readers a fantastic deal this month: buy one 60 x 60 personalised canvas or two 30 x 30 personalised canvases, and get $20 off your whole order. Enter  code “KSF20” at checkout to redeem until 31 March 2010.  (This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers).

PS Watch out for the new range of Easter themed products coming to Mooo over the next few days too -  geez, who needs chocolate this year?!

Fill Your House With Oobi This Winter: Entire Oobi A/W10 Collection Now In-store at ShopHouse + Free Gift Offer

Though you may not think it possible (as every parent is completely biased and thinks their child is the world’s cutest), dress any child in Oobi Baby, and I swear there is an immediate increase in the adorable factor!

Oobi Baby is an absolute stand out Australian brand making it an easy favourite for KidStyleFile readers (and writers alike!) Oh yes, we just can’t get enough Oobi!! If you’re thinking Oobi, all you need to do is head to ShopHouse – www.shophouse.com.au – where the entire new Oobi Baby & Kids A/W10 range has just landed.

In celebration of new Oobi, until 19 March 2010, when you order 2 or more pieces from the Oobi winter range at ShopHouse, you will receive a FREE Cocoon Couture Library Bag (RRP $15).  Made from 100% calico cotton and screen printed with unique Cocoon Couture stories, these delightful multi-purpose bags are perfect for books, shopping, kinder or for outings to the park.

I am unsure how she does it, but designer Alex Riggs and her fabulous Oobi team keep serving up iconic pieces each season, delivering an adorable range of fashion from babies up to 7 years. And Winter 2010 is no exception: gorgeous dresses, shirts, yummy knits and chic swing coats  – this season’s collection is simply divine.  There is something really nostalgic about this collection for me: which has a lot to do with the beautiful tweed fabric used in many of the pieces. It is just so warm and gorgeous looking, I just can’t get enough!

For girls my favourite piece to start is the Tweed Bubble Dresses – I love it in ‘Silver Lilac’…though I love it so much, I could be tempted to have it in ‘Raspberry’ as well!  I also love the Puffball Skirt and my top pick is to have it in the ‘Starry’ print.

I think vests on boys are just so very charming.  My two little charmers always have a couple in their wardrobes for winter, so I am loving seeing the Fine Knit Vests from Oobi this season. In a choice of colours, ‘Charcoal Stripe’ or ‘Grassy Green’ they are an absolute winner: go with everything and perfect for a quick cover up of the tomato sauce he spilled earlier in the day. (Shh! I won’t tell if you don’t!)  But for boys, my most favourite piece are the Military Overcoats. They are just SO fine.  I love them so much, I’ll go all out and declare them my most favourite piece of the entire Oobi Winter ’10 collection!

ShopHouse also have a fantastic range of Oobi Baby accessories to add the finishing touches to a great little outfit. You will find tights, socks, hairclips, headscarfs, bibs, booties and leggings all at your fingers ready to style up your new Oobi purchases. Shop on!
