I love a stroll down memory lane. Flipping through childhood photographs provides an opportunity not only to reminisce over the sweet luxury of childhood when I had not a care in the world, but also a time to peer back and look at the garments that I wore as a child. I smiled today when I realised that many of the pieces that I reveled in as a child are experiencing a revival right now in my own children’s era – admittedly with a decidedly modern twist.

Cotton and Milk – www.cottonandmilk.com – is a Belgium children’s label for girls and boys that has a real vintage feel to it while at the same time possessing a thoroughly modern aesthetic. Many of the pieces are made in Italy from 100% organic cotton from controlled and organic cultivations which do not use pesticides or chemical fertilisers. Other pieces are made in England from vintage wool and fabric which has been upcycled to reduce further wastage. The entire collection is fun, delightful, and whimsically carefree.

Cotton and Milk currently does not have a stockist in Australia (boo hoo!) but you buy it direct from the source (yay!): email designer Justine for postage information and pricing on new season’s stock; pricing for previous season’s/sale stock is listed under each item – at up to 60% off you’ll want to move fast!
