I had my very first market selling experience last Sunday, sharing a stall with a certain KSF super power. There I was thinking we’d get to properly catch up, chat about work, the kids, multi-tasking… not a chance! We were busy bees and had a really fun time selling old and trusted babywares to the new generation of parents-to-be. In between transactions we simultaneously swooned over a very cute little girl who was strolling past wearing a rather nifty ladybird backpack. I laugh when I think how we must have looked – like meer cats -as we stopped dead, turned to the left, grabbing our iphones, jotting down the brand name in perfect synchronicity!

The backpack in question was the adorable Ladybird Daysack from UK outdoor travel gear experts Little Life. The daysack has a removable safety rein for parental control while out and about. It also holds a weatherproof hood that attaches to the bag and is easily stowed away in the top pocket. Designed for little adventurers from 6 months to 3 years, they’ll be squealing for rain so they can be instantly transformed into bees, turtles, sharks or cows, to name but a few! New designs have just been released to add to the dilemma of which one to choose.  I am totally in love with the angel fish design, but know the boys would definitely fight it out for the dinosaur.

For those a little more serious about their adventuring, the updated Runabout Daysack have positioned the safety rein to attach to the top of the pack, to give toddlers the independence they want and the reassurance you need. There is enough room to pack nappies, wipes, snacks and a special toy or two that you just can’t leave home without.

With the sun shining brightly across most of Australia right now we are reminded that summer is almost here. This time of year is my favourite because my kidlets get to break free of the confines of the indoors, making the backyard and nearby park the place to be. BBQs and pool parties make a come back and eating outside becomes a blessing. Of course, for stylish little munchkins a summer wardrobe is a must. I love it when I find a product that is great to look at, lovely to use and super clever in its design and function. Let me introduce you to the Moll series of childrens’ furniture.

This furniture is fabulous in several different ways. First up is the fact that it is ergonomically designed. We always have our eye out for up and coming Australian labels here at KidStyleFile and when we saw boohoo? – www.boohookids.com.au – at Kids in Style earlier this year we knew we had found a rising star.
