My sister will shortly give birth to her first child in London, and I’ve been looking for a gift that might suit her artistic tastes. As with every new baby, she’s bound to receive an overload of baby gear and clothing, so I’d like to find her something a little more unusual and certainly longer lasting. That’s when I thought about adding to her art collection. Artbuds aims to inspire and nurture creativity and are passionate about sharing the beauty and importance of art with the next generation.

I have recently become a huge fan of Sydney artist and magazine co-founder Lilly Blue. I think what I adore most about her work is her delicacy, lightness and gentle touch. Having just moved to a new house, I would love nothing more than a slice of Lilly in my ‘office’ – forget the boy’s room, I want her all to myself! In the supermarket this week the boys made their routine beeline for the toy aisle and so began another plea for more pocket sized cars. With a pretty stellar line up of automobiles at home I’d personally like to see something new, but for them, a new colour or slightly new design is  always on their wish list.
