Stockholm based Helene Stevenberg, founder of uber-cool label Shampoodle – www.shampoodle.com - has been experiencing a case of “I want a poodle” as expressed by her 4 year old son Tim. Trips to the aquarium placate him for a a few hours as he presses his nose to the glass and speaks to ‘Sixten’, a 16 years old barracuda, but eventually they go home, minus Sixten and his need for a pet re-emerges. His 6 year old brother Caspar has even played the reluctant chimpanzee pet for a wee bit, but alas, ‘Being a pet is not having a pet. Not by a long shot”. As Helene sets about researching which pet would be perfect for their small city apartment, she has decided to dedicate the AW 2012 Shampoodle collection to ’All dear pet keepers to become, and their adorable stand-in cuddly toys’.
