With Easter around the corner I’ve been noticing a lot of people looking for non-chocolate gift ideas at the bookshop where I work. I have to say I love traditional egg hunts, but sometimes the kids just get inundated with so much chocolate that it ends up in the parent’s corner and that certainly doesn’t do my hips any favours!
Whether you’re interested in the religious aspect or just love the Easter Bunny tradition (or Bilby for that matter), there are lots of terrific titles that will make the holidays that little bit more special. Easter wouldn’t really be the same without Peter Rabbit and there are lots of terrific Beatrix Potter books. There are ‘lift the flaps’ and touch and feel options, as well as special night time stories complete with a special blanket. I also can’t resist Charlie Brown and the Berenstain Bears, especially after the passing of Jan Berenstain recently. With the likes of firm favourite Maisy including a sticker or two to with her Easter offering, it will be hard to choose just one book from all the lovely titles on offer!
