One of the more entertaining tasks of house hunting is gaining an insight into local interior decoration. Call me a little nosey but I can’t help myself wondering and imagining the stories behind the walls of each house we see. I’ll also admit to instantly re-styling a lot of the rooms too, for the days of tangerine, cornflower blue and purple are most definitely over!

When it comes our turn to finally hammer some nails into walls I know I’d love to decorate with a few prints from Petit Collage – www.petitcollage.com. The new collection represents a friendly bunch of animal characters, each engaged in an activity that little ones will understand and love.

Petit Collage is the work of illustrator Lorena Siminovich who began by collaging vintage papers onto wood. She has now developed her range to include posters, fabric wall decals, growth charts, mirrors, bamboo mobiles, stationery, toys and most recently the cutest little dollies for style savvy girls. Her style echoes Scandinavia but her bold and clever colour combinations, particularly in her new doll collection are certainly an homage to the bright and daring colours found in many Argentinian homes.

Petit Collage can be found online at shelf/life.
