I have recently been dabbling in embroidery, and I love the way that each stitch forces you to slow down and enjoy the process. I’ve stitched for the boys as well as myself, and I love the handcrafted nostalgia that it evokes. No surprises then that I totally fell for Coral & Tusk, a range of beautiful embroidery works that marries the simplicity of childhood with good old fashioned design.
Created by New York based Stephanie Housley, her range of cushions, booties, napiery and stationery along with her unbelievably adorable merit badges (oh my, I feel some major purchasing coming up), are all fine examples of her unique handling of colour and surface pattern. If you love animals, feathers and lucky charms, then this is the brand for you. Watch out for the pocket dolls too. Each with a distinctive personality, they have some very special accessories that are sure to be coveted by many.
