When I was a kid I thought having a bunk bed would just be the coolest thing ever! I shared a bedroom with my sister for a long time and we always had our own singles, but now with two children of my own and with space at a premium, I may just realise my dream of bunks for them.
With two boys of their own, Dutch architects Agata and Arek Seredyn wanted to design high quality and good looking products for them. This took the form of a timber bed for their eldest son, and following a huge demand from friends, they saw potential, resulting in the genesis of Rafa Kids.
Agata and Arek created the F Bunk Bed, designed for flexibility, fun and function. With a ladder inbuilt on either side and a wall for stability as well as possible display area for your child’s creations, the bed can be placed in any area of the room with space underneath for a desk, bean bag or younger sibling. The R Toddler Bed fits snugly under the bunk bed. This flexible design can be moved around the room with ease thanks to the two large wheels at one end. The elevated sides ensure little sleepers stay off the floor while space underneath allows for secret treasures or practical storage solutions.
Alone or together, the Rafa Kids beds are complimented by a bright and graphic range of bedding. Designed by a range of Scandinavian designers, kids can choose from bright clouds, big blue airplanes, paper dolls or an orange bus. Bedtime will never be quite the same again!
