I love scouring the international trade fairs for inspiration and new goodies that aren’t yet available here in Australia. It is even more exciting when they land here so we can snaffle them up!

Since spotting Blafre - www.blafre.com - at Playtime Paris last year, I have been yearning for a number of items from this Norwegian range. Top of my list is the thermos range which have a hip, retro edge with a Scandinavian twist. Blafre is a family company based in Oslo in Norway, with all products designed by Ingrid Erøy Fagervik, who manages the company with her husband Remi. Ingrid developed the concept back in 2005 whilst on maternity leave. There is a strong emphasis in producing environmentally friendly products with all textiles ECO-TEX and all materials in bottles, boxes and thermoses are tested to ensure they are free from phthalates and BPA.

Amanda Newton from Jimmy Cricket – www.jimmycricket.com.au -  has secured the Australian distributorship of Blafre and will be stocking flasks, thermoses, children’s dinnerware, bedlinen, wall-stickers and more from October 2012.

If you are a store owner and are interested in stocking Blafre, please contact Amanda at info@jimmycricket.com.au – get in quick: retailer orders close on 20 August 2012.
