I married a real blokey bloke. He has muscles, knows his car engines and likes to watch a lot of sport. He’s not really sentimental, and you’d never find him wiping away a tear during an emotional part of a movie. Until we had kids. That changed everything. He now gushes over their achievements, winces when they fall over and even gets a little croak in his voice when talking about how proud he is of them. And the man that never cries? Well last year I *think* I caught a tear in the corner of his eye when our son presented him with his very first Father’s Day card and gift that had been hand selected and scrawled on in his big preschooler writing.
