Hello Kitty, or ハローキティ Harō Kiti in Japanese, is a well known, much loved character from Japan who has been fully embraced within the kawaii culture. First appearing on merchandise in 1974, Hello Kitty has since developed a cult following.

Within the Hello Kitty legend, Kitty (as she is fondly referred to) was born in England on November 1. So it is quite delightful that London’s iconic Liberty, the exquisite English art fabric house, and Hello Kitty have collaborated on the latest limited edition collection of luxurious and functional products just in time for her birthday – what a fantastic celebration!

The Ceramics Collection includes a number of lovely designs, including the reworked 1933 Kakurembo print. The Tea Cup Set is a standout, featuring both the Kakurembo design and a subtle Hello Kitty face. Adorable! For lovers of stationery you are in luck with a plethora of options, from pens to sticky notes  (housed in a London print fold out booklet) to expander files. This range will certainly liven up your desk.

Hello Kitty Liberty London range, makes a memorable gift idea for young and old. Available from Shop Until. Prices start at $9.95.
