If you’re pregnant, raise your hand. Now put your hand up if you have a new little bundle of joy. Next I want to see hands from those who have newly mobile babies and are frantically trying to babyproof the house. Parents of curious toddlers, you’re next. Anyone got older kids? Fantastic. Ok, listen up y’all: you need to get yourselves over to The Kids Depot – www.thekidsdepot.com.au – pronto, because that is where you’ll find everything you could possibly need.

Now if I was having another baby, the first thing I’d want is the ingenious Flexibath.  Unlike a normal baby bath which takes up a ridiculous amount of space, the Flexibath folds flat for storage and comes in some very funky colours, plus classic white and even a clear one. It contains no harmful chemicals and it will accommodate a preschooler right up to 4 years old!

The Kids Depot are currently running a fantastic competition to celebrate the Australian launch of the Flexibath: send in a photo of your child using the Flexibath to be in to win a prize pack valued at $350!  Don’t have a Flexibath?  Tell The Kids Depot in 25 words or less why you need one and have a chance to win one of five that they’re giving away!  Click here to enter the competitions.

Next on my shopping list would be a b.box nappy changing wallet to make changing nappies on the go a breeze.  With an in-built refillable wipes container, space for nappies, bags and cream and a very funky change mat, you won’t have to tackle those horrible germy shopping centre change mats ever again.  When it came time to introduce solids, you can be sure I’d be stocking up on BabyCubes to make storage of pureed baby food easy as pie. And around the same time as solid foods are introduced is when teething kicks off for real, so a Teethifier would also be sure to make it into my shopping cart.

Another thing worth knowing is that you can take 10% off the already great prices store-wide at The Kid’s Depot. The code to enter at checkout is ‘kidsdepot2010‘. Make use of this until 31 August 2010 to buy all your baby and child essentials, plus some essential treats.

Three Little Owls: Wise Choices for Christmas – Up to 25% off Sale + Spend $100 and Receive a $20 Voucher

A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh books were quite popular in my house when I was growing up, and I have just introduced them to Master R who has been utterly consumed by Pooh’s antics (who can forget him rolling in mud to disguise himself as a dark rain cloud!).

One of the most vivid characters that comes to mind when I think of the series is Owl. He is the smart one, who always has some great advice for his friends. Multiply these attributes by three and you have Three Little Owls – www.threelittleowls.com.au: they have thought of everything a  mummy could want – just in time for Christmas!

I’m a sucker for bags. I love the smell of new leather and LBB (‘Life Before Babies’) often consisted of weekend shopping trips to find the perfect evening clutch. These days, bags not only need to look good for me to consider them, but need to be highly functional.

Storksak bags fit the bill perfectly, and Three Little Owls have just received shipment of new styles. My favourites are the Elizabeth Nappy Bag in Tan, (it has all the typical nappy bag features – thermo-insulated bottle holder; change mat, individual compartments – but it also fits a laptop!! Perfect for us working mothers) and the new Storksak Suzi Bag, which delivers style and substance at a great price.

Does hubby want something a little more blokey? Something his mates won’t even pick for a nappy bag? He could follow Brad Pitt’s lead and try Storksak’s Jamie nappy bag or try the ultracool  DadGear series which Brad also swings between. These bags have an ultra hip ‘hands free feature’ which means you can feed, play and change the baby without ever having to put the bag down.

If I could have the ultimate wish (besides world peace, ongoing good health and a zillion dollars) this Christmas, at the top of my list would be the eradication of stretch marks and my caesar scar. (I know, I know, they are the road maps of my experiences, but still…) I have fallen in love with the Mama Mio Goodbye Stretch Marks, which aim to minimise the marks. For mums-to-be, they also have Mama Mio Tummy Rub Oil, which can help prevent them to begin with! Thank you Three Little Owls!

This summer I aim to begin the toilet training journey with Miss N.  I searched and searched for training pants for Master R only a year or two ago, and I am delighted that Three Little Owls has introduced Imse Vimse to their catelogue which includes some gorgeous farm and zoo training pants. 100% organic cotton and certain not to let your wee ones (LOL) outer garments get wet, these are perfect for assisting you reach that next milestone.

On the fashion front Three Little Owls have just uploaded Keiki Designs‘ bibs, bloomers, shorts and singlets: the perfect attire for babies and toddlers this summer.

Dimity at Three Little Owls is helping us celebrate Christmas this year with a great offer for all KSF readers: spend $100 and you’ll receive a $20 voucher to spend on your next order until 13 December 2009. Enter coupon code KSFXMAS at checkout to redeem. You can also take up to 25% off everything in the sale section.
