Rose & Lily Bust A Move: 50% off Clearance Sale On All Babymoov Products*

Posted: February 6th, 2010

Today’s post written by Anna

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Well lovely ones, if you have a baby or toddler to shop for (or one on the way – yay, big congratulations to you!), before the weekend gets away from you, make a little time time to zoom, zoom on over to the always delightful Rose & Lily – www.roseandlily.com.au.

For the wonderfully generous Michele and Jennifer from Rose and Lily have a fantastic clearance sale on now on Babymoov products. All items are now at least 50% off* with a few items even more! The sale continues only while stocks last. (*Excludes Babymoov Lovenest product)

Form meets function in style with Babymoov.  This brand take traditional baby items, adds the special Babymoov touch and – voila! – we have some extraordinary baby products.

I have always loved the Babymoov Babymoov Hippo Crockery and right now is a great time to buy the sippy cup and the bowl as they are both on sale for just $9.99 each. Ah, so cheap! Buying a couple now to put aside for presents would be a great idea. The sippy cup has a spill-proof valve in it (trust me, it can prove to be invaluable).  The bowl uses anti slip rubber technology on the base and the lid is sealable to keep food fresh in the fridge.  Each piece is microwave and dishwasher safe and super cute to boot!

In the past few years, as more and more of my girlfriends have started making babies, I have hosted and attended more baby showers than I can count. I love them! They are a special way to say “we love you” even before the little one has entered the world. When the time comes, I am all set with an idea I have yet seen at a baby shower thanks to Babymoov. Check out the Babymoov Pregnancy Belly Make-up which holds a whole set of creative possibilities for an upcoming baby shower, or for older children to connect with the sibling they are *patiently* waiting for. Or what a lovely way for a father to connect with his wee little one. Ohh, so many lovely ideas in my mind for this product!

There is lots more to peruse in this sale, so enjoy checking out the pictures of my favourites below, and make your move on these products while they last at Rose & Lily.

  1. Babymoov Hippo Crockery – Sippy Cup sale price = $9.99
  2. Babymoov Hippo Crockery – Bowl + Lid sale price = $9.99
  3. Babymoov Thermo Bottle Rage – Brown Leopard sale price = $19.99

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

I’m sure most of us have a ‘favourite things’ list. Here are just a few things that appear on mine: my husband (check) the sound of happy children (check) fresh flowers (check) a dress or two (check) a few special, and most importantly, gorgeous-looking treasures (check) white walls (check) clean floors (hmm, maybe tomorrow?!)

A fantastic spot for finding ‘favourite things’ is the simply stunning space called Little Living – www.littleliving.com.au. Within this luxurious space you’ll find a gorgeous array of only the finest designed children’s home wares, gifts and accessories. Lovingly selected from both European and Australian designers, and brought together and infused with very classy style of proprietor Paula Kos, you will be blown away by the beauty in store.

To kick off what is sure to be a long relationship between you and Little Living, Paula is holding a fabulous sale with up to 65% off! This wondrous event lasts only while stocks last until 28 February 2010. There is soooo much to choose from and it really is all utterly and completely gorgeous – we are truly spoiled for choice here! I have selected just a few of my favourites to illustrate my point and showcase what’s on offer to eat, sleep, play and live with from Little Living.

EAT. There is a fantastic choice for kids dinnerware at Little Living.  The Mini Rhubarb range is just gorgeous and with our little girl now out-eating her older brothers, we spend a lot of time looking at her dinnerware! So if you’re embarking on solids or well into the food (+ mess) journey -  for all the time you end up spending looking at, using, picking up from the floor and then washing your child’s dinnerware – I say pick a design like the Sweetie dinnerset that you’ll love too!  If you love polkda dots,  Little Living also stocks the divine melamine polka range from the European designer brand, Greengate. Talk about eating in style!

SLEEP. Greengate also have a lovely range of quality bed linen and cushions for your little one. I adore the Mimi Linen Doona Cover which is currently reduced fro $129.00 to just $40.00! What a find!

PLAY. From German brand Allerhand come a gorgeous and unique sports bag designed to hold a soccer or netball, together with a drink bottle.  These are seriously cool and seriously clever – no more chasing off after run away balls in car parks! Allerhand also make a great range mini rucksack suitable for little ones to use as a backpack or your tween to use as a lunch bag.

LIVE. Another of my ‘favourite things’ is gifts – for there is so much joy to be found in giving :) Little Living is a superb spot to go gift hunting for you are sure to find so something unique and beautiful – you can even have gifts wrapped to perfection and delivered straight to the lucky recipient. There are gorgeous rabbits, mice and rattles from Denmark’s Maileg which make the perfect baby and toddler presents. I love the large rabbit with stripe dress and check out the Mouse House: what a delightfully quaint gift idea.  Plus if it’s an adult you’re shopping for, I rate highly the ‘My Quotable Kid’ journal as a gift idea for parents.  This is a book that will become a sentimental part of a family’s life – containing all the memorable sayings our kids come out with, and all the associated memories that come out as we relive them over time. Want to give the gift of choice? A Little Living Gift Voucher is just the thing.

Just new to the fantastic line up of products at Metro Mum are the Dandelion Organic Baby Toys and Feeding Accessories,  the Ebulobo Crazy Wolf Toys and the Thermos Funtainer Camo Chic bottle and Thermos Insulted lunch bags. As a matching pair, these too could make a great Christmas present.

Meet Babymoov, The Learning Tower, Snugabub and more at Rose & Lily PLUS $200 in Prizes to Be Won!

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Every Australian parent who loves the functionality and stylish good looks of European-designed products must thank their lucky stars that Rose & Lily – www.roseandlily.com.au – is on the scene.

Two working mums, Michele and Jennifer, saw a gap in the market a few years ago, and the result is that now we in Australia can now get our hands on some of the best Euro baby products around! Perfectly placed as they are (Michelle is in Australia and Jennifer’s in Belgium), the magic twosome carefully select and import some seriously cool products and brands.

Take Babymoov as one example. With its French heritage clearly evident in the designs, Babymoov products are designed by mums, for mums. The Bebedelice baby food processor is absolutely ingenious: it defrosts, cooks and blends home-made baby food, warms bottles and jars and even sterilises your babyfeeding paraphernalia!

BabySteps 123 is another brand which offers well thought out accessories to make feeding solids easier. The Multi Slicer is a really nifty way of quickly preparing fruit and vegetables as healthy snacks, and there’s also some useful freezer trays in various sizes and shapes (essential, believe me), and a very nifty hand-blender which takes no electricity or batteries at all!

If you’ve started the solids journey but you’re runninng out of inspiration as to what to feed your baby or toddler, Rose & Lily have Sneakys, eBooks of delicious recipes designed especially for the very young (including the very fussy!) all by nutritionist mum Leanne Cooper.

My Plate Mate is another of those brilliant ideas; the sort where you wonder why nobody had ever thought of it before!  It’s simply a spill guard rim which attaches on to any standard child’s size plate, meaning that they don’t spill food as readily when learning to use cutlery, and the unique shape of the rim even helps to scoop food onto the fork or spoon! My Plate Mate is free of lead, BPA, phthalate, PVC, latex & polycarbonates and it easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

OnTray2Go is another brilliant idea: simply fill the boxes with scrumptious snacks (you should have plenty of them prepared by now!) and clip on to the handle of your supermarket trolley.  So much easier than fighting with a hungry toddler as you trundle around the aisles!

The Mije Crab is a clever bath toy which not only tells you the temperature of the bath water, but also sounds audio and visual alarms if the water is too hot. In the same vein of controlling temperature, the Cold Seat car seat cover is absolutely brilliant for Australian summers: simply put it in the freezer for a while before use, then cover the car seat with it – including buckles where possible – and then refreeze it before the next use.  How brilliant is that?!

For other cool places to sit, here is another option: the beautiful Luna Lullaby Bounce-A-Bye Baby Balls are the only exercise ball you won’t want to hide away when you’re done using it.  With a myriad of uses such as birthing ball, a baby soothing motion seat and a pre- and post-pregnancy fitness ball, not to mention an oversized ball for the kids to chase around the garden on nice days, these will last you for years.

And last but not least, the Learning Tower is one of the best kids products I’ve seen around in a long time. A four-sided platform designed to bring small children up to the level where all the action is happening, you can use the Learning Tower to facilitate your child’s involvement with cooking, washing dishes, sorting laundry, you name it.  You can also get add-on kits to turn your Learning Tower into an art easel or a playhouse – amazing!

Rose & Lily are currently running a great competition over at Facebook. All you have to do is become a fan of Rose & Lily on Rose & Lily Facebook page before June 14 2009, and you’ll go into the draw to win one of 10 Babymoov Shirt Bibs, valued at $19.95 each. Too easy!

Rose & Lily are also a major sponsor of the KidStyleFile Annual Reader Survey: 10 lucky survey respondents will each receive a Babymoov prize pack from Rose & Lily valued at $279.95 each! Click here to start the survey now.

Rose & Lily shipping starts at $8.00 per order, Australia-wide.  Orders over $250.00 are shipped free of charge.

I think that MetroMum - www.metromum.com.au – just gets better every time I visit.  No, really – have a look and see what I mean.

For one thing, Tamara and Francine are constantly refreshing the range of products, meaning that both the eternally popular and the new and innovative are always in great supply.

For another, they always has great discounts happening about the place: have a look at the ‘What’s Hot’ box on the home page.  It always contains changing weekly specials so you need to check it frequently to make sure you take advantage of all the deals, and this week’s are especially great.

You can get the Bebedelice Multifunctional Food Processor (valued at $199.95) plus two FREE shirt bibs (valued at $23.95 each) for only $169.00! That’s a huge saving!

Also in ‘The Hot Box’, as I like to call it, is the Babymoov Car Seat Organiser which you’ll find invaluable for long or even short car trips.  There’s a place for everything your baby or toddler needs, and plenty to keep them interested and distracted.  Even better, it’s marked down from $68.00 to just $49.95!

Now for imaginative play you have to take a look at the toys from Active People.  The makers of the iconic Bilibo, these guys have some new toys out.  First of all I want to show you the Babal, which is an intriguing ‘ball that is actually two balls’, and is limited only by your kids’ imaginations.

Then there’s the new Bilibo Pixel, which is a million games in one little set, and 100 million games when you add the Mini Bilibo to the mix.  Hours and hours of fun to be had here!

For loads of other fantastic ideas for Christmas presents and stocking stuffers, do yourself a favour: make a cuppa, pop the baby in bed and send the kids into the yard to play and have a happy browse around at Metro Mum.  Bliss!

What’s Hot at Metro Mum? Oeuf Nursery, Mojo Beanbags, HappyMais craft, KidsonRoof plus much more!

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Every so often I stumble across an item that I absolutely can’t live without.  Strangely enough (or not – you’ll see what I’m talking about) a majority of them seem to be at Metro Mum – www.metromum.com.au.

Take the Oeuf nursery furniture range, for example.  I would kill to have this stuff in my nursery, as I’m sure would just about every style-conscious mama. It’s sleek, minimalist with a little hint of retro and just absolutely stunning.  Naturally, the quality of its construction goes without saying. The range is available in Beech or Walnut tones.

The Oeuf range has also been very cleverly designed to last for as long as possible – after all, these are investment-quality pieces and you want to get your money’s worth! The cot can be converted into a seriously stylish toddler bed and the dresser can have the change table added to the top during the baby years, and then removed during the older years to be a piece that wouldn’t look remotely out of place in a stylish teenager’s or adult’s room. The mini library (so cool, I love the cubbies) is also very flexible in that it would be perfect in a modern nursery but would work just as well in the living room or kitchen – or any room in the house, really!

At the opposite end of the size scale is the Munchee Mug, an ingeniously designed cup to hold toddler snacks which won’t spill them all over the floor.  I quite often pack some cheese cubes or home-made popcorn for Alex when we go out, but about and it drives me mad when he up-ends the container and they all fall out onto the supermarket floor! (ewwwww) The Munchee Mug could put an end to my woes by allowing him to comfortably get his fist into and out of the cup, but not letting him spill everything on the floor.  It’s available in four cool colour combos and it’s a bargain – $12.99!

For kids slightly older than my toddler, I love the KidsonRoof Cardboard Playhouse.  A cubby house (who doesn’t love them!) which can be decorated and personalised making it kid heaven, and then folded down flat to slide under the bed when it’s not in use. This’d be the perfect Christmas present for 3-6 year olds. It’s on special this week too!

Now speaking of specials, I’ll let you in on a little tip: keep a close eye on Metro Mum’s ‘What’s Hot’ box (you can see it on their homepage) as the specials in it will be changing weekly leading up to Christmas.  It’s a great way to get super deals on super products, including products which are rarely discounted.  This week’s Hot Box contains the KidsonRoof Cardboard Playhouse as mentioned above, and the uber-funky Mojo Mini Me Kids Beanbag Chair.  BaaaarGAIN!

And while I’m on a roll, here’s another tip: join the Metro Mum Club to receive exclusive discounts and offers during the year, and earn rewards points on all your purchases.

Do you, like me, often see baby and kids goods that you find so irresistibly attractive that you find yourself asking total strangers “Where did you get that?”

Well today I’d like to introduce you to style-savvy sisters Toni and Melony, who through their passion for everything unique and high quality in the realm of baby and kids, can help connect you with all the coolest threads, shoes, toys, accessories and decor from both faraway and nearby via their new web store ‘Where Did You Get That?‘ – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au.

Where Did You Get That? stock exquisite brands including Aden + Anais, BabyMoov Bebedelice and Lovenest, Bella Tunno, Bod and Bod for Bubs hair and skin-care, Coco Boheme, Coo Clocks, Deglingos, Djeco, eco.kid, Lelli Kelly, Moppit, Morgan & Milo, Opal London, Pink + Blue Yummy Mummy, Star & Rose, Tea Collection, Tommy Rocket, Two Belles, Zid Zid Kids.

I want to have a little rave about a few of my personal favourites new to Australia, and brought to you exclusively by Where Did You Get That? Firstly, Tea Collection, a US brand that promotes a multi-cultural ethos in design and celebrates children as “little citizens of the world”.

Before Where Did You Get That? came along I always sourced Tea Collection from the US. Needless to say, I am so thrilled to have a local supplier!

Tea Collection make two affordable ranges: Tea Collection for kids 2+ and Daily Tea for 0-2 years.

I can tell you from personal experience that the quality of Tea Collection is just superb. The cottons they use never pill or fade, and the cuts are tailored beautifully.

Their jeans are the best fit I have found (adjustable waist joy!), and the denim is softened to prevent chafing.

The dresses are thoughtfully designed, and always feature beautiful detailing. To prove that I put my money where my mouth is, see the picture below of one of my daughters wearing one of her Tea Collection pieces: the Journey Dress, happily available at Where Did You Get That? so you can get a piece of the action too :)

Tea Collection Mendoza Boys 3 piece outfit – $155.00
Daily Tea Flower Fan Tunic – Limon – $29.95
Tea Collection Mopti Print Dress – Birch – $84.95
Tea Collection Journey Dress in Aubergine – $56.00
Tea Collection Tereli Yarn Dyed Indigo Pant – $64.95

Next on my list of faves is Morgan & Milo. An inspired addition to the world of children’s footwear, Morgan & Milo is the creative output of Mia Abbruzzese, who started Morgan & Milo to fill the gap for affordable, classic shoes. Morgan & Milo shoes have their heart in the quality of the past, and their head in the modern day, fusing fun and fashion in a way that is infinitely wearable, and never too precious.

Also in the shoe department at Where Did You Get That? is the unrestrained embellished decadence of Lelli Kelly from Italy. Not just a pretty face, Lelli Kelly shoes are designed for optimal comfort and foot health.

Finally, you know I can never go past a good toy or decor piece. Where Did You Get That? is thrilling me with its well considered selection.

Firstly, Djeco from France. Djeco make a wonderful range of toys, puzzles and craft sets for kids, and Where Did You Get That? is stocking a comprehensive amount of them.

I just adore the Stamps Magical Dresses set which features ink pads, 14 stampers and 20 cutout princesses to decorate.

If you’re looking for amusement for smaller kids then the Djeco block puzzles make for a sweet occupation with their classic illustrations. Where Did You Get That? is selling the 4 packs so affordably too!

If you’re looking for an imaginative and unusual buddy for your little one then the divine Deglingos, again from France, fit the bill perfectly. Everything but run of the mill, Deglingos creatures are constructed of a range of high quality textured fabric that is sure to last a lifetime of companionship,

A delightful decor element is the Coo Clock from the USA. Besides being utterly whimsical this clock is clever too: it has a sensor that detects when it’s dark so it won’t bark, cheep or moo at midnight!

For out and about check out the Bella Tunno Designer Diner. It’s a funky, wipe-clean placement on one side and a reusable chalk mat on the other. It’s a portable imagination station for little artists and a traveling table for little eaters! Includes a 12 piece box of non-toxic colored chalk and a detachable chalk pouch. Never be stuck for entertainment when you’re out and about again!

Finally, one of my most beloved favourite brands, Zid Zid Kids.

Zid Zid Kids are pure imagination realised. Zid Zid Kids is a fair-trade company based in Marrakech, Morocco, and is the fusion of the creativity of husband and wife team Moulay and Julie, and Moroccan crafts-people. The result is stunning!

Where Did You Get That? is stocking bags, belts, shoes and these fabulous dress-up masks from Zid Zid. Bring the magic of Africa into your home!
