As KidStyleFile mamas, we feel affectionate towards all the gorgeous baby and children’s boutiques we watch growing up, as if they were precious babes themselves. We report their special ‘welcome to the world’ announcements and help mark all their special milestones. Just like our precious human bundles, these milestones come around so quickly. You take your eyes off them for a second and they have suddenly shot up. Such is the case with the beautiful store Cornflowerblue – www.cornflowerblue.com.

*New Label* Broken Tricycle: Fairtrade Until The Wheels Fall Off

All eyes on Broken Tricycle – www.brokentricycle.com.au – a new Australian label that has just taken it’s training wheels off and is currently previewing its debut A/W2011 collection to retailers.

The creative output of designer Patricia Murphy, who has worked for the past 16 years designing kids clothes for leading brands in Australia and the UK, Broken Tricycle is a contemporary children’s label catering for babies and toddlers from size 00000 to 2 years centring around an ethical ethos (fabric is sourced in India under a fairtrade agreement; pieces are made by workers paid a fair price for their work – no sweatshops here!) as well as a focus on comfort and softness to match a baby’s delicate skin.

Modern, durable and eco-friendly – this is a label to watch; stay tuned for the new website due soon, and expect to see the collection in stores from March 2011.
