It’s the time of year that parents look forwards to and children will do anything to avoid… yep, it’s back to school time!

If you’ve been looking after rambunctious and increasingly restless kids all holidays, then I bet you’re looking forwards to some respite when they go back to school.  However, if the kids themselves aren’t too excited at the prospect then I suggest you sit them down on your lap or next to you by the computer, and click on over to Haggus & Stookles – www.haggusandstookles.com.au.

There’s loads of new stock in store at Kinder Kaboodle – www.kinderkaboodle.com.au – so if you’re looking at getting the kids ready to head back to childcare, pre-school, kinder or school (if you’re smart you are!) then head on over to check out the new goodies.

Now for those of you whose child is starting pre-school, kinder or even primary school this year, there are a few essentials you’ll need.

The first is a decent backpack, one which is large enough to hold lunch, art projects and picture books, a change of clothes etc, yet small enough for a school-aged child to carry on his or her own. The next thing you’ll need is a drink bottle.  Look for distinctive designs which will be easily described to a teacher when it’s inevitably gone missing – Alex & Charli, Rush and Tatiri all do great drink bottles.

For lunch boxes, insulated ones can be a good way to go – nobody likes lukewarm yoghurt or soggy sandwiches!  Fleurville Kids do an excellent insulated Lunch Pak (it’s actually large enough to be your all-purpose backpack!) which is much favoured by celebs including Gwyneth Paltrow and Matthew Broderick.  Fridge-To-Go lunch bags are also a great choice. While you’re in this category, have a look at the ingenious 4 My Earth eco-lunch products – such a great idea!
