Roos Dress Your Doll: It’s All About Fashion – Pre-Order Now from Where Did You Get That?

As a little girl I loved to make outfits for my dolls. Inspired by my Nan’s considerable fashion talent I took her offcuts and constructed rudimentary ensembles, initially just by wrapping and arranging the fabric, and eventually hand-sewing my creations.
Belgium based Lena De Swert, Els Van Houtven and Rosalinde Heerkens of Roos productions started their idea, Dress Your Doll, via the same principle: “Take a piece of fabric, fold it in half, cut a hole in the middle, sew it together down either side and there you have it, a little top for your doll!”
With a combined background in textile printing, dolls and fashion, these three talented women have created a unique concept whereby children can make clothes for their fashion dolls easily and have fun doing it. Using pre-printed patterns and prints on a soft, stretchy fray-free fabric, DressYourDoll ensembles are available in three skill levels: Rookie (from age seven; able to cut in a short straight line), Novice (slightly more skill required), and Advanced (natural progression once previous levels mastered, or is already a dab hand with a needle and thread). Paper patterns are also available to let kids experiment with other fabrics to their heart’s content.
Roos Productions’ Dress Your Doll are available to pre-order now for delivery in late July from Where Did You Get That?. Prices start from $14.95.
