Coco Bear: Eco-Friendly Toys For Everyone – Up to 50% Off Sale + FREE Gift With Purchase Offer

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

With the birth of my three children came the immediate realisation of just how incredibly different all children are. Perhaps I shouldn’t have been surprised, but I couldn’t believe how young they were when all their apparent differences, likes and dislikes appeared. Even the toys they gravitated towards as babies and toddlers were different. Our inquisitive and thoughtful eldest son loves to build, our second is great at puzzles and our little girl has both a flair for the dramatic and a motherly instinct, so dressing up costumes and baby dolls are her theme at the moment.

Coco Bear – www.cocobear.com.au is a fantastic online store that has a huge range of eco-friendly, fair trade, and environmentally sustainable toys that can cater to a *very* wide range of tastes. The Coco Bear family share a true passion for top quality toys so you are bound to find some to suit the little people in your world. There are toys for art and craft, for building and stacking, for music and role playing and much more.

There are both international and Australian brands represented at Coco Bear and presently include:  Alex, Artiwood, Atomoblox, beleduc, nenat, Boikido, Children Inspire Design, Djeco, dwink, eco-kids, Edtoy, Educo, En Gry & Sif, Felt Fun, Hape, I’m toy, Imagination Brands, Jack rabbit creations, Junior Tradesman,  Le Toy Van, Manhattan Toys, Micador, Mon Petit Art, Pastel Toys, Playme, Rock Crayons, Santoys, Sigikid, Soopsori, Te’s fou Louloup, Woodours.

One of the brilliant features of Coco Bear are their fantastic shipping and delivery options: they offer $10 flat rate shipping across Australia, FREE shipping on all orders $150+ as well as a FREE local delivery service to qualifying post codes. How fab is that?! They also have a shopfront in Alexandria NSW where you may view, purchase, and pick up items. You can of course also keep up with new developments via the Coco Bear Facebook Page.

For the month of October, Coco Bear is offering a lovely gift with purchase to all customers who place an order of $150+: you will be given a Doodle Roll pack which contains coloured crayons and a paper roll fifteen centimetres wide and fifteen metres long all in a perfect carry pack (now I’ve seen one I simply *must* have one…they are just so clever). No code is needed to redeem this offer, you simply need to place your order of at least $150 before 31 October 2011, and one will be automatically sent with your order. Coco Bear also have a dedicated sale section where you will find a beautiful array of toys at 10-50% off the retail price. Go get ‘em!

The New Season is in the House: Full range of Oobi Summer stock, Cocoon Couture GWP offer, WIN Cuddlefish swimmers & score FREE Express shipping at ShopHouse

Posted: September 3rd, 2008

Have you swung over to ShopHouse – www.shophouse.com.au lately? If you haven’t, it’s time to skip on over; there’s a lot going on!

Bronwyn at ShopHouse is concentrating on telling the whole story with the ranges she stocks, and I am loving it.

When I dig a label, I tend to want to cherry pick the whole range, and ShopHouse makes it easy to do with Cocoon Couture, mill&mia, And the Little Dog Laughed, Pure Baby,  Penny Scallan, and the irrepressible Oobi.

ShopHouse are stocking the comprehensive range of Oobi, including the party dresses you know and love in fabulous new prints, bloomers, singlets, and new to their repertoire, playsuits, divine capelets, and sweet Rosette hair clips. Buy now and get delivery around September 15. These are selling like hotcakes, so get in quickly if you want a piece of the action.

mill&mia Spring/Summer 08/09 collection has arrived too, and it is divine as always. ShopHouse are stocking the ‘Robot’ story for boys, and stripes and florals for girls in voiles and the softest soft cottons. mill&mia is one of my all-time favourite Aussie labels: Melissa Chen (‘mill’) is a genius!

For the little bebes in the house, comes Pure Baby – organic bliss for bubs up to 2 years. The prints have a touch of retro about them this season: caravans for the boys, red gumnuts for girls, and fantastic terry toweling fabric (do you remember that from your own childhood? So comfy!)

New to ShopHouse is Cuddlefish, the best swimwear out for little kids. I have been buying and using Cuddlefish swimmers on my two kids for the last 3 years, and I just love it. It looks great, and contemporary and provides SPF50+ so I don’t have to worry about the chitlins being burned to a crisp in the hot sun.

Also check out the Kiddysac and Lark products new to ShopHouse. The Kiddysac mini-bags are the perfect storage solution for a range of loot, and the Lark products bring fun kitsch back on the scene with their activity kits and soaps.

There are also a few offers over at ShopHouse that you should know about.

  1. Buy a Cocoon Couture Large Enchanted Tree at ShopHouse & receive a FREE Cocoon Couture Beanbag, valued at $129.95. Mention the beanbag design you would like at checkout and it’s yours!
  2. Also, subscribe to the ShopHouse newsletter in September and you could win a Cuddlefish swimsuit. See the ShopHouse homepage for full details.

You can also score FREE EXPRESS SHIPPING at ShopHouse with the KidStyleFile discount code found in the current issue of Shop 4 Kids magazine. If you can’t make it to  newsagent, email me and I’ll give it to you :)

Where Did You Get That? Ask no more: it’s right here! 10% off store-wide for KSF readers

Do you, like me, often see baby and kids goods that you find so irresistibly attractive that you find yourself asking total strangers “Where did you get that?”

Well today I’d like to introduce you to style-savvy sisters Toni and Melony, who through their passion for everything unique and high quality in the realm of baby and kids, can help connect you with all the coolest threads, shoes, toys, accessories and decor from both faraway and nearby via their new web store ‘Where Did You Get That?‘ – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au.

Where Did You Get That? stock exquisite brands including Aden + Anais, BabyMoov Bebedelice and Lovenest, Bella Tunno, Bod and Bod for Bubs hair and skin-care, Coco Boheme, Coo Clocks, Deglingos, Djeco, eco.kid, Lelli Kelly, Moppit, Morgan & Milo, Opal London, Pink + Blue Yummy Mummy, Star & Rose, Tea Collection, Tommy Rocket, Two Belles, Zid Zid Kids.

I want to have a little rave about a few of my personal favourites new to Australia, and brought to you exclusively by Where Did You Get That? Firstly, Tea Collection, a US brand that promotes a multi-cultural ethos in design and celebrates children as “little citizens of the world”.

Before Where Did You Get That? came along I always sourced Tea Collection from the US. Needless to say, I am so thrilled to have a local supplier!

Tea Collection make two affordable ranges: Tea Collection for kids 2+ and Daily Tea for 0-2 years.

I can tell you from personal experience that the quality of Tea Collection is just superb. The cottons they use never pill or fade, and the cuts are tailored beautifully.

Their jeans are the best fit I have found (adjustable waist joy!), and the denim is softened to prevent chafing.

The dresses are thoughtfully designed, and always feature beautiful detailing. To prove that I put my money where my mouth is, see the picture below of one of my daughters wearing one of her Tea Collection pieces: the Journey Dress, happily available at Where Did You Get That? so you can get a piece of the action too :)

wdygt-clothes.jpg

Clockwise from top left:

Tea Collection Mendoza Boys 3 piece outfit – $155.00
Daily Tea Flower Fan Tunic – Limon – $29.95
Tea Collection Mopti Print Dress – Birch – $84.95
Tea Collection Journey Dress in Aubergine – $56.00
Tea Collection Tereli Yarn Dyed Indigo Pant – $64.95

Next on my list of faves is Morgan & Milo. An inspired addition to the world of children’s footwear, Morgan & Milo is the creative output of Mia Abbruzzese, who started Morgan & Milo to fill the gap for affordable, classic shoes. Morgan & Milo shoes have their heart in the quality of the past, and their head in the modern day, fusing fun and fashion in a way that is infinitely wearable, and never too precious.

Also in the shoe department at Where Did You Get That? is the unrestrained embellished decadence of Lelli Kelly from Italy. Not just a pretty face, Lelli Kelly shoes are designed for optimal comfort and foot health.

Morgan & Milo Navy Flame Slip-on – $44.95
Morgan & Milo Silver Sparkle Mary-Jane – $49.95
Lelli Kelly Iris Cross Mild – $105.00

Finally, you know I can never go past a good toy or decor piece. Where Did You Get That? is thrilling me with its well considered selection.

Firstly, Djeco from France. Djeco make a wonderful range of toys, puzzles and craft sets for kids, and Where Did You Get That? is stocking a comprehensive amount of them.

I just adore the Stamps Magical Dresses set which features ink pads, 14 stampers and 20 cutout princesses to decorate.

If you’re looking for amusement for smaller kids then the Djeco block puzzles make for a sweet occupation with their classic illustrations. Where Did You Get That? is selling the 4 packs so affordably too!

If you’re looking for an imaginative and unusual buddy for your little one then the divine Deglingos, again from France, fit the bill perfectly. Everything but run of the mill, Deglingos creatures are constructed of a range of high quality textured fabric that is sure to last a lifetime of companionship,

A delightful decor element is the Coo Clock from the USA. Besides being utterly whimsical this clock is clever too: it has a sensor that detects when it’s dark so it won’t bark, cheep or moo at midnight!

For out and about check out the Bella Tunno Designer Diner. It’s a funky, wipe-clean placement on one side and a reusable chalk mat on the other. It’s a portable imagination station for little artists and a traveling table for little eaters! Includes a 12 piece box of non-toxic colored chalk and a detachable chalk pouch. Never be stuck for entertainment when you’re out and about again!

Finally, one of my most beloved favourite brands, Zid Zid Kids.

Zid Zid Kids are pure imagination realised. Zid Zid Kids is a fair-trade company based in Marrakech, Morocco, and is the fusion of the creativity of husband and wife team Moulay and Julie, and Moroccan crafts-people. The result is stunning!

Where Did You Get That? is stocking bags, belts, shoes and these fabulous dress-up masks from Zid Zid. Bring the magic of Africa into your home!
