I just love a makeover! The idea of transforming something into a stunning improvement is exciting. This week I came across what I think is one of the most fabulous makeovers of the year.

Since Ange introduced me to Paper Wings I simply can not get enough of this Australian label. The pieces have a touch of flamboyance, a sure sign that the designers found their inital footing in fashion through costume work; a truly eclectic and unique feel; and most importantly, they are all stunning. I would hesitate to tell you my absolute favourite piece this season, although I do know that the Twirl Skirt (which is organic) may just be the piece Miss N may wear at a birthday party we have coming up this month.

My other seasonal favourite is Fred Bare. They are one the most durable labels, lasting a couple of seasons despite Master R giving them a great big workout, and the fit is perfect. Master R is into the simple look at the moment (refusing to wear bright colours and patterns), so my eye is on the Lighting Tee to start off his long sleeve tee bank.

I’ll share a secret with you: I’m a closet shoe-a-holic. I love every type: boot, peep toe, mary-jane, stiletto, sling backs, even clogs.
