……………………………………………………………………………………………………

The phrase ‘back to school’ has a whole new meaning for our little family this year. 2010 is a year of new beginnings with our eldest son entering ‘full-time’ school and our second little man starting Kindergarten. Eeek, so many new beginnings; just the thought is enough to make this mummy a little teary-eyed! Just in time to help get me (and mummies across the country) sorted for school is the fantastic sale on now at Where Did You Get That? – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au.

Don’t miss the bus, because starting today, for 1 week only, KidStyleFile readers score 20-40% off in the Where Did You Get That?’ Back to School Sale. Enter code ‘KSF-COOL’ at checkout until 19 January 2010 to be cool for school!

Included in the WDYGT Back to School Sale is all the fantastic drink-ware by Thermos Foogo and Funtainer – all 20% off!  Get your little one geared up for school with a drink bottle or sippy cup. Plus the fantastic adult hydration bottles sneak their way into the sale too!

You can also take 20% off the fabulous EcoCocoon stainless steel cup sets.  Where Did You Get That? have added another 2 new styles for you to choose from: ‘Celebration’ (so shiny and red!) and ‘Favorites’ - this set is made up of 3 boy and 3 girl themed cups per set.

With your KSF discount applied, you can now save 30% off  Girls Swimwear by Stella Cove and Girls 4 Sport. My favourites are the one-pieces by Stella Cove in the Purple Rain and LaBoheme designs – and at $46.77 these make for a pretty special purchase. Where Did You Get That Daily Tea In Bigger Sizes? (Take One Guess and 20% off While You’re At It)

Today’s post written by Miki

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

Ooh, good news today!  Toni and Melony at Where Did You Get That? – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au – have listened to the vast number of requests for Daily Tea in larger sizes, and they now stock the Spring/Summer 09/10 collection in sizes from 3 months right up to 5yrs!

To celebrate this, we’re being given 20% off all new season Daily Tea, along with Tommy Rocket, Two Belles and the adorable new Claesens Aqua Flower Dress!  Hurrah! The code to enter at checkout is ‘SUMMER-STYLE’, and it’s valid until the 10th of November 2009.

I really like Daily Tea.  Simple shapes, nature-inspired prints, funky colours and extremely wallet-friendly price tags make it one of the best choices for everyday wear on the market.  It’s perfect for active little people, and now with the new bigger sizing it’s perfect for slightly bigger people too!  And at 20% off it’s positively irresistable!  There’s also a big range of last season Daily Tea marked way down to half price, making the already small prices absolutely tiny.

On the topic of tiny prices, make sure you don’t go past The Grand 40% Off Sale category, which is loaded with gorgeous pieces from top designers… and every single item in there (and there’s a lot) is marked down by 40%.  We’re talking Aden + Anais, Bella Tunno and Zid Zid Kids, among others.

And speaking of sales, hotfoot it to the Super Swimwear Sale section to snap up Girls 4 Sport swimwear at up to 80% off!  Yes I am quite serious, but you can bet these prices won’t be repeated.  Just to give you one example, you can get the Girls 4 Sport Chlorine Resistant SPF 50+ Swim Tie Top for just $5, down from $24.95 – yeesh!!  And what’s more, it’s still available in a good range of colours and sizes, although at that tiny price you can bet it won’t be for long.

Discounted prices quoted below are valid with code (read above) until 10 November 2009 only.

1. Giraffe Tee – Embers, $26.95 less 20% = $21.56
2. Cheetah Tee – Cilantro, $26.95
less 20% = $21.56
3. Alligator Tee – Indigo, $26.95 less 20% = $21.56
4. Armadillo Tee – Seaglass, $26.95 less 20% = $21.56
5. Long Short – available in Boysenberry, Indigo and Herb, $29.95ea less 20% = $23.96
6. Lady Bug Graphic Top – Milk, $24.95 less 20% = $19.96
7. Butterfly/Sunburst Reversible Hat, $26.95 less 20% = $21.56
8. Flying Butterfly Strappy Tank Dress, $29.95 less 20% = $23.96
9. Dragonfly Strappy Tank Dress, $29.95 less 20% = $23.96
10. Butterfly Short Sleeve Mandarin Tunic, $29.95 less 20% = $23.96; and Butterfly Track Shorts, less 20% = $19.16

Now, I couldn’t sign off without mentioning the great new range of stickers which have freshly arrived in store. Really, is there a kid on the planet who doesn’t love stickers? These ones come in nice big packets of 160, with a choice of Little Fashion House, Little Juliette, Covered In Stripes, Small Beasts and Pirates, at just $4.95 per pack – absolutely ideal for stocking stuffers, or nieces and nephews.  If you want an even bigger range of stickers than this, you can go for the bumper pack containing 1000 stickers at $27.95!

You’ll find them browsing through the stocking stuffers category, along with loads and loads of other great ideas.

Girls 4 Sport USA: Quality Swimwear for Girls

Posted: October 29th, 2009

Today’s post written by Angela

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

It’s almost time to start hitting the beach, the pool and the backyard for fun in the sun and the water, and that means that the search for the perfect swimwear is on.

The essential criteria for me when choosing swimwear are fit, quality and comfort with a high SPF rating.

If you have girls like me, then I can highly recommend US brand Girls 4 Sport. With a SPF rating of 50+, quality fabric and a good fit (which is still roomy enough to last us two summers) I am well pleased with my purchases – rashies in long and short sleeves, shorts and skorts – snapped up at Where Did You Get That? – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au.

The USA-made Girls 4 Sport fabric is a thick, tight weave nylon/poly/spandex blend that exceeds the quality of any other kidswear swimsuit fabric I have seen. It’s chlorine resistant properties mean that it holds it shape and lasts longer: so far, so good for us! Another feature of note is that there is a modesty panel in all of the rashies to prevent any unwitting wet t-shirt effect.

Selected new season’s Girls 4 Sport designs are now available from Where Did You Get That?, with prices for separates ranging from $31.95-$44.95.

PS A small amount of last summer’s stock is on sale at WDYGT? for $5-15.00. I suggest you move fast!

Where Did You Get That? stock a great range of products from the following brands: Aden + Anais , Allen & Unwin Publishers, Angel Flames, Bella Tunno, Belly Art, Candela, Claesen’s Evergreens, Coco Boheme, Coo Clocks, Crazy Forts, Daily Tea, Deglingos Djeco, Ellie Bellie Kids, Enchanted Faeries, Eric Carle, Folkmanis, Foogo By Thermos, Girls 4 Sport, Goorin Brothers, Le Toy Van, Lelli Kelly, Lovenest, Manhattan Toy Company, Morgan & Milo, Radio Flyer, Star & Rose, Tango Books, Tea Collection, Tommy Rocket, Two Belles, Wagonware, Woolbabe, and Zid Zid Kids.

Where Did You Get That Swimwear Up to 80% off ?? Come On Over and Find Out!!

Posted: October 20th, 2009

Today’s post written by Leah

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

“Where did you get that?” are five words that are sure to make our pride swell as we share the origins of our little ones newest outfit.

With that in mind, Toni and Melony of Where Did You Get That? – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au - have developed their own little haven of select pieces and labels that are each sure to draw oohs and ahhs from your friends and strangers alike.

Always on the look out for a stylish addition to my daughter’s wardrobe, I have been dazzled by the Chic by Sha Pettiskirts which have just arrived at Where Did You Get That? and are suitable for babies right up to tweens! Vintage lace, soft chiffon and satin – oh my!

For a summer chill out by the beach or pool, check out the Girls 4 Sport swimwear range and the new ‘skort’ style swim bottoms (short skirt with built in briefs). The tested fabrics are rated at the maximum of SPF 50+ and block at least 98% of UVA/UVB rays and Chlorine resistant. Or, for cute little one-piece bathers, the new Stella Cove line up is delightful.

Finding canvas shoes for summer that are funky yet functional can be a real issue as summer approaches – enter the new season Morgan and Milo shoes which are now available in larger sizes (7.5-13).  The flame versions will ensure your poppet speeds along, or the Mary Janes is sure to make your daughter ‘sparkle’.

Are you looking at a Crazy Fort to add to the toy collection this Christmas? The  sturdy life sized construction set will entertain your kids for hours on end.  Teamed with the Crazy Fort Lights they can enclose it totally with a blanket and have their own little camp out! But be quick, stock is limited.

One of my best purchases this year has been my Foogo straw bottles, and recently the funtainers for their colorful patterns.  They keep the kidlets water cool right through the day, even when I’ve left them in the car for an hour or two! As well as stocking them, Where Did You Get That?, are now also stocking the replacement straws which guarantees ongoing use of your Foogo.

If you are interested in bargains check out the SALE section where you will find 50% off all winter and last summer fashion.  Where Did You Get That? have also added a new category: the “Grand 40% OFF SALE” where you will pick up bargains from Aden & Anais, Bella Tunno – including laminated aprons, binkers etc, some Djeco mobiles, and zid zid belts and bags.

A big attraction for me is the Super Swimwear Sale with up to 80% off last season’s styles while stocks last only!! Get your Floaties on and swim on over!

1. Crazy Forts – Construction Toy $89.95 & Crazy Fort Lights $39.95
2. Chic by Sha Pettiskirts – Black Satin $90.00

Get kitted out for summer and beyond with stupendous bargains from Tea Collection and  Daily Tea (from the US, and superb quality. I love this brand – buy with confidence!), Aussie staples Tommy Rocket & Two Belles, and the fab Girls 4 Sport chlorine-resistant swimwear range (note that the board shorts will not be available in Australia next year due to the Aus dollar, so snap ‘em up before they’re gone for good!).

In the shoe department score Lelli Kelli (if you’re not familiar, Lellis feature heavily beaded detailing – OTT brilliance!), the fabulous Zid Zid Kids Moroccan ‘babuche’ ballet shoes, and my personal favourite shoe brand for kids, Morgan & Milo from the US.

Seriously cheap at 35% off, aside from their super-cool looks, Morgan & Milo shoes have excellent foot support for small feet, and are very robustly made (love the reinforced toe coverings!) We thrash ours, and they still look good!

For boys, the must-have shoe is the ‘Flames’ design – help’s your little man go faster! Wear them laceless for the ultimate in laidback urban cool style.

For girls you cannot go past the insanely sparkly ‘Glitter’ design. These are super comfy too as they feature and elasticated heel: no more blisters!

Each piece has passed the cute-and-cool test, presents great value for money and most importantly, will keep precious little skin protected in the scorching summer sun (and always remember to slip, slop, slap!)

Tkxi Surf do funky, yet understated,  prints in practical as well as downright cool styles. For boys I’m loving the Bones Board Shorts ($45, sizes 0-7) and Bats Rashie ($55, sizes 2-8), plus a great alternative to Speedo-style: the Euroleg pants ($33 sizes 0-8).

Girls can choose from cute one- or two-pieces, rashies and sets, and the chic colour combos and pretty prints make it darn hard to choose! My picks include the *cute-as* Ladybird One Piece ($55), the gorgeously bright printed Wonderland One Piece ($49, sizes 2-5) and for a touch of glam, the right on-trend Disco Fairy Frill Two-Piece ($50, 0-8).

Baby’s Got Style stock Seafolly and Tiger Joe by Seafolly – classic Aussie style, in little people sizes! Possibly the coolest set I’ve seen for boys is the Camo Set ($54.95, sizes 1-7) and little boys will just love the GI Joe Truck Slime Rashie (the name says it all, really! $39.95, sizes 0-3). They also do very funky swim hats – try the Slime Camo ($34.95, size 1-3+) to match back with your other cool buys!

Girls can just drip with cuteness in just about any of the beautiful designs by Seafolly – you won’t be able to contain your “OMG!! That is soooo cute!!!”’s when you see your little princess in the Rose Ballerina Tutu tank ($59.95, 0-3) and I am in love with the bright swirly print of the Soda one-piece ($49.95, sizes 2-6).

Bubs are also catered for with the pink Ruffle nappy pant ($34.95, sizes 00-2), and everyone can do sun safety in style with the Swim Hats ($29.95, sizes 0-3+).

Monster Baby know their stuff – with a background combining surfing and fashion, you know you’re onto a winner! From the classic Skulls to the uber cool Xray print in black or white to the hippy-cute Rainbow Love in hot pink  ($45, sizes 00-5)  they’re made in Aus, they stand out from the crowd and trust me, they last through more than just one summer of swimming!

Hugely popular Cuddlefish is available by the bucketload at The Hip Infant. From the genius Buoyancy Suit ($69.95, sizes 2-4) to the sweetest swim shorts ($24.95, sizes 1-4) and thoughtfully designed long ($44.95, sizes 1-4) and short sleeve swim tees ($39.95, sizes 1-4), you can complete a perfectly matched outfit with the UPF50+ Bucket Hats ($29.95)!

One of the biggest swimwear ranges online is at Little Explorers, and if your tot is serious about their style then this is the place to go! The Goldie Tankini ($29.95 on sale, sizes 2-5) is beautifully bright and girly, as is the gorgeous Judy Jetson Tankini ($29.95, sizes 2-6). They also have a great range of protective long sleeve rashies by Loose Boots – girls can go pretty in Pink and boys will love the cool combi print on Blue (both $44.95 on sale, sizes 1-6). I’m also thinking this Major Menace Reversible Rashie ($29.95 on sale, sizes 3-4) would be a big hit with cool little dudes!

For a massive range of girl’s togs, head on over to Where Did You Get That? for the brilliantly priced, mix’n'match range from the USA, Girls 4 Sport.

With heaps of cool boardies, rashies, tops and bottoms, all in SPF50+ material, you can create your own look without breaking the budget! I’m thinking the Leilani Rashguard ($31.95, sizes 2-8) would look increditbly cute with the pink Swim Skort, or if you’re not so much into pink, the Pixie Swim Top ($24.95, sizes 2-8) and matching Swim Shorts ($24.95, sizes 2-8) make for a welcome burst of summery colour!

Do you have a little aqua princess who adores splashing in the shallows or an active girl who loves to swim?  If you do, check out the new range of swimwear for girls at Where Did You Get That? – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au.

Called Girls 4 Sport, it is appropriately practical and attractive, with bold, colourful prints and made from 50+UV swim fabric. With a wide range of styles including board shorts, rashies (long and short sleeve), swim shorts and skorts, and tie swim tops, there’s something to suit every little mermaid.

To celebrate the arrival of Girls 4 Sport at Where Did You Get That?, every order containing at least one piece of G4S swimwear will receive FREE SHIPPING until the 28th of October!  All you need to do is select ‘Girls 4 Sport Free Shipping’ at checkout.

Now I know that deal is only for girls swimwear, but mums of boys (like me!) don’t despair: Where Did You Get That? is giving us 20% off all boys clothes and footwear for the same period, until the 28th of October! The code to get this discount is BOY-KSF, enter it at checkout.

What about if you have a pigeon pair or more?  Even better news for you: both deals apply!  So you can get 20% off all boys clothes and shoes and free shipping if you buy at least one piece of G4S swimwear!

Where Did You Get That? stock some of the best kids designer gear around. Besides the new G4S swimwear range, I love the new season Tommy Rocket and sister-brand Two Belles range. Vintage-inspired fabrics and prints dominate Summer this year, along with intricate embroidery and funky florals for Two Belles and dinosaur prints and retro checks for Tommy Rocket.  Your kids will be decked out in style with this gear!

Further fashion picks include Daily Tea and Tea Collection.  Originally from San Francisco, the Tea range comprises of Tea Collection, a higher end collection with some beautiful special occasion pieces, and Daily Tea, an every day affordable range which doesn’t sacrifice excellent design or quality.  The Tea ranges are all inspired by global cultures – it’s fun to try to work out which piece is inspired by which culture!

Where Did You Get That? has an enormous range of Djeco which just puts them even higher in my esteem – I love Djeco’s twist on French chic and their creative supplies and games.

My absolute favourite product at Where Did You Get That? is the Djeco Poem Tree Wall Sticker set.  Exquisitely whimsical, this wall art will turn any nursery or playroom into a dreamy, thoughtful space with a hint of playfulness to it.  It’s also astonishingly well priced at $47.95 for the 70cm x 100cm sticker sheet containing 95 removeable stickers.

The other products I wanted to bring to your attention are the hilarious cuckoo clocks by Coo Clocks. No ordinary cuckoo clock, these – each one has a different animal appearing on the hour such as an elephant, a chook, a dog, a sheep and so on.  These cuckoo clocks will entertain your kids all day but they won’t drive you mad at night, as they come equipped with a light sensor which automatically shuts the character off when the room is dark.
