I have to make a special mention of the esteemed Verve records label’s Jazz for Kids album. My kids just *love it* (current favourites are ‘Potato Chips’ and ‘Rag Mop’ – it’s extremely cool to gear them scatting away like jazz pros!), and trust me that you ain’t never heard a finer version of ‘Old MacDonald’s Farm’ than Ella Fitzgerald’s rendition.

If you’re not exactly sure of what might get your groove thang on, you can get an aural taste test before you buy: playlists have been added to most of the CDs on offer at M&W. You can also check out the Monkeytail & Wellington blog (always a rewarding experience) for YouTube clips of songs, and other music fun stuff (REM singing ‘Furry Happy Monsters’ on The Muppets, for one!)
