Unlike Miki, I have never had the fortunate luck to find myself in the Northern Hemisphere in December. I yearn for a white Christmas. I have created a romanticised version of how it would play out if it was to occur: snow flakes floating to the ground outside my foggy window pane; tree with toys wrapped in pretty paper beneath it; wellington boots at the front door and gorgeous winter jackets hung on the cloak stand, and my delightful children, in their winter woollies, excitedly anticipating the festivities. (Winter in Australia pales in comparison….what do we have? Hmmm…..the Queen’s Birthday?)
No need to worry, the girls at Where Did You Get That? – www.wheredidyougetthat.com.au have come to the rescue with a super Christmas-in-July 20% off all Toys & Games and Craft extravaganza.
WDYGT? have an exhaustive amount of well made toys and craft items that will absorb your little ones interest for hours. Amongst their wares, 140 Djeco items, the ever popular Crazy Forts, Le Toy Van and Merrigold wooden toys just to start.
Djeco is a firm favourite in my house. The quality is outstanding and each of the items are highly engaging. My pick is the pack of 5 Djeco Princess Stencils which just might be one perfect gift for a little school girl I know
. Or perhaps you would like to get your kids up on their feet and physically interacting both a toy and their imagination?
The Crazy Fort Christmas in July special might just be for you! It’s a construction set that suits both girls and boys and can be enjoyed by oneself or collaboratively. They build their play structure, whether it’s a rocket-ship or a house, and then by simply throwing a sheet over the top, they complete the construction. Endless opportunities and hours of fun!
Ready for a blast from the past? Here it comes! When I was growing up my parents allowed us to watch whatever we wanted to on channel 2, but commercial TV was a no no. Somehow, we were able to convince them that Fraggle Rock was just like Sesame Street, but with more music, and it subsequently became a HUGE favourite. Well, guess what WDYGT? have somehow sourced a collection of the Fraggle Rock dolls. I *WANT* one!
