It’s excitement central at About A Boy – www.aboutaboy.com.au – today, as the hotly anticipated Winter 2012 Minti collection is launched! The on-trend Kiwi brand is always one to watch, and this winter’s collection might just be the best yet.  I’ve been browsing through the collection at About A Boy and ear-marking several pieces I *need* to get for my two boys – I bet you feel the same if you have little men to dress!

First of all, The Anorak , pictured below, is a vibrant and fun take on the obligatory winter jacket. I love the colour (described by my husband who glanced over my shoulder just now as ‘duckling yellow’), and the lightweight fabric is exactly what’s needed for winter in most Australian centres. And while we’re talking about vibrant colours, how about the Crew Sweater with its gorgeous aqua block colour and the signature Minti ‘dripping M’ design?  Love it, just as I love all the trackie bottoms with circle knees.  But I think my number one favourite piece in this winter’s collection is College Cardi with the quirky Minti smiley face and contrast ribbing and pockets.  It looks cool, comfy and fun, and that’s exactly what I’m after with clothing for my sons.

For anyone with a baby to buy for, whether their own or a friend or family member’s new arrival, be sure to look through the baby pieces in Minti’s new releases. Their sweet ‘I Am New’ slogan is splashed across bibs, wraps, cute little hoodies and more, and the funky Peace Owl can be seen on a number of other pieces. As well as that, the striped basic items such as jumpsuits are exactly what every baby loves to wear.  Come to that, I’d wear them too if they came in my size!
