…………………………………………………………………………………………………
You may have noticed the Nordic fashion theme here at KidStyleFile of late – we’re all just a wee bit in love! Only last week we visited Stockholm, and today….well today we say hello to Finland.
Suvi Ainoa – www.suviainoa.com can be roughly translated to “Summer – the only one” in Finnish. Now based in California, USA, designer Yanyan’s creations are almost all handmade locally whilst maintaining the minimalist styling of Finland. 100% thick linen, cotton and linen blends, 100% white linen, 100% natural cotton jersey and 100% cotton fabrics are used to construct an assortment of truly delicious garments. My pick from the range is the Yellow Polka Dots Jacket, a dynamic piece for a little girls wardrobe, certain to bring some brightness to the overcast days of winter.
Yanyan blogs regularly about her experiences as both a designer and a mum. You can read it here.
Suvi Ainoa pieces start from US$33.00 and are currently unavailable in Australian stores. Items can be purchased directly from the Suvi Ainoa site with international postage starting from $10.00. Please see full shipping details here.
