On a recent stroll across the World Wide Web, I happened upon Youlka Designs - www.youlkadesign.fr , a French based design company that has developed a series of interactive rugs. The Coq, Cars and Animals are three of my favourites. Each of these are made from a duel layer of 100% wool felt. The top layer of rug is then transformed via the use of laser cutting. Smaller shapes are cut into the layer which are then easily removed, becoming a large floor jigsaw puzzle! Worried about losing all the pieces? You may want to look at the Puzzle rug. Made from 100% wool, this rug consists of a number of shapes that come together to form a larger rug.
