I am the first to admit that I’m more or less sports-challenged; I’m so uncoordinated it’s almost dangerous.  Right now though, I’m actually really rather enjoying watching the French in the rugby. You can’t beat the French for flair no matter what they do, whether it’s playing rugby, or at the other end of the spectrum, designing children’s clothing.

I currently have three family members living it up in France. I am particularly excited for my mother-in-law (a French teacher) because she has always wanted to travel to France and now has 5 lovely weeks to travel the country with her husband by her side – living her dream. When I was last in Paris (she says, name dropping shamelessly) I was eight months pregnant.  It was the middle of summer and I felt like a dugong waddling around in my shorts and t-shirt while all the French mamas-to-be wafted elegantly past me in the baby stores looking like they’d stepped fresh out of the pages of an ultra-chic baby magazine.  Oh how I hungered to look so ‘together’, so effortless! I also hungered for nutella crepes, but I blame that on hormonal cravings.

Anyway, I’m back in the southern hemisphere now.
