If you don’t associate Humphrey Bogart with children’s fashion, you’ve clearly never heard of Looking At You Kid – www.lookingatyoukid.com.au. Named for the famous Bogart line from Casablanca (I swoon every time I watch that movie), Looking At You Kid is a stylish online boutique devoted to providing us with the best of fashion for children from Australia and around the world, and some of its stocked brands are rarely seen elsewhere.

Take Mini Shatsu for example. A brilliant collection of graphic prints on dresses, tees, onesies and shorts, the Mini Shatsu collection is clever, witty, edgy, and just plain fun. I love the Snorkel Tee and Blue Fish Board Shorts for boys, and for girls I just can’t go past the Keyboardist Dress and the Pink Flames Guitar Onesie – so cute!  If you’re still looking for Christmas presents, there’s a great Gift Drawer section full of ideas including affordable stocking stuffers such as the Alex and Charli drink bottles pictured below, plus there’s an incredible Nothing Over $10 section where around 50 summer and winter clothing items have been discounted by up to 80% off – perfect inexpensive gifting!

The team behind Looking At You Kid have clearly been at the eggnog already, because they’re getting into the Christmas spirit by giving KidStyleFile readers 30% off store-wide! The one exception to this offer is their amazing ‘Nothing Over $10′ section where items are already marked down by up to 80%, but the extra 30% discount *does* apply to their regular (and fantastic) sale category. To get your additional 30% off, enter the code KSF30 at checkout before 21 December 2011 when the code expires. Additionally, all orders before 21 December 2011 will be express posted to ensure their delivery in time for Christmas – but please note that orders placed close to the end of that time can’t have their Christmas delivery guaranteed as postal services can go a bit crazy around then.

Christmas 2011: Top 20 Stocking Stuffers {Under $10}

Posted: November 10th, 2011

Written by Miki

……………………………………………………………………………………………………

When Angela and I first started discussing a ‘Stocking Stuffers Under $10′ post, I have to admit I was doubtful. “But Ange,” I said, “What if I can’t find twenty online products of KidStyleFile-worthy quality, costing less than ten bucks each?”  Fortunately Angela had more faith than I did and sent me off to do some research.  Aren’t I glad she did!  There are so many small-but-quality products out there even at the very lowest ends of the price scale, which is exactly what we all need with Christmas stockings to stuff.  In the end my main difficulty was deciding what to leave out of the top twenty!

Everything you see below is less than $10, and a good portion of it is less than $5. I’ve divided it into categories for babies, boys and girls, but it probably goes without saying that those are only very rough guidelines and that most products have a certain amount of crossover (although I’m not sure how my boys would react if I put hair accessories in their stockings – hey, maybe they’d love them).

This really is only a sample of the products available once you start looking, so consider this post a jumping-off point and start exploring. I must give Where Did You Get That? a special mention for their huge Stocking Stuffers category too; it has fourteen pages of the kinds of things just perfect for stockings.

So get to it, go stuff those stockings – if you want to follow my family’s tradition, pop a Terry’s Chocolate Orange in the toe… yummmmm.

Christmas 2011: Top 20 Stocking Stuffers {Under $10}
